40th Waterloo Sponsorship Needed

Saturday, August 05, 2017 (13:55:58)
With the 40th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic coming up in just over a couple of months (Oct 20-22, 2017), it is time to start asking for your support as a sponsor. Last year the tournament raised $9,100 for the Austin Ronald McDonald House, and that pushed us to a grand total of just over $117,000 in cash for the charity over the years. We can’t do this kind of fundraising without a LOT of help from our sponsors.

In the tournament's discussion thread on this site, in the Community Forums / Current Events section, are two posts (40th Waterloo Discussion Thread). One is our more complete sponsorship request letter. It is great for people or companies who aren’t familiar with the club, the tournament, and the charity. The other is for those who already know what we are about, much more basic; plus it has a part to fill out that helps us keep track of who is donating what, and at what sponsorship level.

You can also email us for copies of these letters, we can send them as .pdf files or Microsoft Word files, just send us a note at waterloodgc@gmail.com.

Will you please help support this historic tournament and this wonderful charity?

Also, please take these letters around to any local businesses you think might be willing to donate. Cash, merchandise, gift cards, swag, it ALL helps! Don’t be shy about asking, just talk about the good the charity does and the hundreds of people who will be at the event, and ask if they can contribute. The worst anyone can do is say “no”.

Thank you for your help and support!
