Wednesday, August 17, 2016 (00:58:47)
The 39th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic is coming in mid-October and we need your help to make it another great Waterloo. We need sponsors for the event! Won’t you please be a Waterloo Sponsor this year? EVERYTHING helps: large donations and small; cash donations; merchandise donations; gift certificates; etc. Our full request letter is copied below, and both it and a similar Sponsorship Form are in the Community Forum section of this website, Tournament Forum. If you would like or need either of these forms emailed to you, just post here or send us an email at waterloodgc@gmail.com.
Thanks!

Dear Sponsor,

The Waterloo Disc Golf Club is proud to announce that it is hosting the 39th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic in Austin, TX on October 14-16, 2016. This historic disc golf tournament is the longest running tournament in the Southwestern U.S. and one of the oldest in the world. This year’s event will be held at the historic Hancock Golf Course, the very first ball golf course in Austin. We will be setting up two full 18-hole disc golf courses at Hancock. Austin’s oldest disc golf event happens at Austin’s oldest ball golf course, it is going to be a fantastic weekend!

The 39th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic will again benefit the Austin Ronald McDonald House (RMH). The RMH is a wonderful non-profit, charitable organization that provides a home away from home for families with critically ill children undergoing treatment at area hospitals. This allows parents the chance to be close to their children at a time when they are needed most.

Last year’s donation to RMH was $9,400, and the tournament’s grand total over the years is now $107,943. The goal for 2016 is to raise $10,000, and our sponsors are crucial to this effort. Won’t you please help by supporting this wonderful tournament? Sponsorship can be in the form of cash, merchandise, or a combination of the two.

• For a sponsorship of $250 or more: your logo or name on the back of the official tournament shirt and on two tee-box signs (one sign on each course). Plus, you may also display one of your banners at tournament headquarters. Your logo/name also will be added to the Sponsor List that will be displayed at the course and included in the tournament program.

• For $150 - $249: your logo/name on two tee-box signs and on the Sponsor List.

• For up to $149: your name on the Sponsor List.

Please mail all sponsorship to Waterloo Disc Golf Club, PO Box 33531 Austin, TX, 78764 (checks payable to Waterloo DGC). If you wish, you may make your check payable directly to Austin Ronald McDonald House in order to get the tax benefits of a charitable donation. For more information, please contact Gordon Kelley at gordo@discgordo.com or waterloodgc@gmail.com, or call the Waterloo Club cell phone 512-994-9508.
Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Gordon Kelley
Waterloo Disc Golf Club
