38th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic is going back to Hancock!

Thursday, May 14, 2015 (19:12:05)
We have confirmed the location and we will be going BACK TO HANCOCK for some great disc golf this year.

The 38th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic, Oct 17-18, 2015, will be returning to the historic Hancock Golf Course in Austin! Hancock is the small, beautiful 9-hole ball golf course located at E. 41st and Red River, and was the very first golf course in Austin. We will have two 18-hole courses again this year, so a maximum of 180 players

The event page is up: https://www.facebook.com/events/1450828648543340/

IT'S FATHER DAVE McC-NOTE TIME!

Info about how to save your spot by in the tournament by taking the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge is up in the main event page description, but here it is in this post as well. Plus, at the bottom of this post is a list of the 15 players who have already taken the challenge!
Now that we know the 38th Waterloo DG Classic will be at the Hancock Golf Course this year, it is the perfect time to save your spot in this wonderful tournament. Regular registration likely won’t open up for at least a couple of months, maybe more, and the event is expected to fill up quickly once it does. Don’t take a chance on missing out, take the Father Dave McC-Note Challenge now.

The way it works is this: send the Waterloo Club a check or money order for $100 now. Your spot in the tournament is guaranteed. When fees for the different divisions are set, we will deduct from your $100:
your entry fee
ace pot
ring-of-fire
non-active pdga fee (if applicable)
All the money left goes directly to the charity. For the past two years at Hancock, we have averaged 93 McC-Noters, which added about $2,900 each year to the total charitable donation!

To clarify something that has come up occasionally: this money saves “your” spot, not “a” spot. Once the tournament fills up and there is a waitlist, if you have to cancel you can’t just give your spot to someone else. As with any cancellation, the spot goes to the next person on the waitlist. If you do have to cancel, you will receive a refund of everything except what would have gone to the charity (and that money will still be added to the donation).

Don’t wait too long and end up missing out on this wonderful event. Send in your money now and you won’t have to worry about it filling up without you.

Send your check or money order, payable to WDGC, to:
WDGC
PO Box 33531
Austin, TX 78764

Please include your full name, email and phone number, division, and pdga number (if you have one).

Father Dave McC-Note registration for this year’s tournament started last October at the 37th Waterloo. Ten people signed up that weekend, and five more have sent it in since then. Already confirmed for this year’s 38th Waterloo are:
Larry Kruse
Stevo Barnes
Marc Lopez
Chris Young
Mark Penniman
Laura Hovey
John Hovey
Steve Du Frane
Dave Corder
Nate Corder
Jan Baumgardner

Thanks!
