Submit your photo

One of the nice new features of this site is the photo album. Currently there are a coule of albums you as a community can upload photos too.

I was hoping to see some photos of members soon. Below are some simple intructions to upload your photo. Thanks

1. Click on "Photo Gallery" on the left side menu.
2. Above the left side menu will be a "Photo Gallery Tasks" menu. Click on "Upload picture".
3. From the albust drop down list select "Show your mug > Member mug's"
4. Click the [Browse] button and find the picture you want to upload that is currently stored on your computer.
5. Enter the pictures title and descritpion (Optional but would be nice).
6. Click the [Upload] button.
7. Once an administrator approves your image it will be available in the photo gallery.

Note: The other album that allows uploads is funny pictures. More albums coming soon. I would suggest making the pictures as a JPEG (*.jpg). This is a smaller image type than other formats and is faster to upload. If you have no clue what I am talking about just ignore what I just said and continue on as normal.

Also don't forgot you can leave comments about photos too. It's always nice for someone to comments about your hair on that day in time.

It looks like the forum has a fixed width of 550 pixels, which is great because the width won't get blown out like most do, but also means that if you want someone to see your entire image you should re-size it.

I use Irfanview for my quick and dirty image stuff (but Photoshop CS3 for the good stuff).

To stay on topic, if you open Irfanfiew after doing the control-print screen thingy, you can ctrl-v the image, crop it with your mouse, ctrl-y to crop, and save it as a .jpg.
